Mosey thru LayFlats 2009
The Mosey thru LayFlats Arts & Music Festival (known locally as LayFlats) is an annual outdoor music and arts festival held in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. This year’s Mosey thru LayFlats will take place at Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette and continue across the pedestrian bridge into the heart of Downtown Lafayette. Art installations, activities and live music combine to create the Largest, All Local Arts, Music and Culture Celebration of its kind in Greater Lafayette. We bring the fun to you!
The all ages midwest music event features several genres of music including garage rock, alternative rock, country, bluegrass, folk, hip hop, and electronica set across several stages and venues in Downtown Lafayette. The fine arts element of the outdoor event includes artwork, mixed media, paintings, sculpture, photography, blown glass, handmade jewelry and more. Interactive workshops and art installations for children and adults include creative writing, traditional musical instruments, murals, as well as the construction of artistic elements of the main stage backdrop during the day.
Proceeds from the event support local charities to benefit children’s art therapy, outreach and support programs in the Local Tippecanoe County area.
