Lay Flats Arts & Music Festival

The Lay Flats Arts and Music Festival (known locally as LayFlats) is an annual outdoor music and arts festival held at the Tippecanoe Outdoor Ampitheatre in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The Midwest music event features several genres of music including garage rock, alternative rock, country, bluegrass, folk, hip hop, and electronica set across three stages and tents. The fine arts element of the outdoor event includes artwork, mixed media, paintings, sculpture, photography, blown glass, hand made jewelry and more. Interactive workshops and art installations for children and adults include creative writing, traditional musical instruments, as well as the construction of the main stage backdrop during the day.

Proceeds from the event support local charities to benefit children’s art therapy, outreach and support programs in the Local Tippecanoe County area.

The Lay Flats Arts and Music Festival takes place on a 160 acre wooded park in Midwest, Indiana with daytime temperatures in August reaching into the 90’s Fahrenheit and milder in September.
